Lace Tutorial for Lulus.com

Lace isn't just for your grandmother's coffee table anymore, and it's certainly not restricted to special occasion outfits like the upcoming Easter best dresses ladies will soon be dawning.

Lovely lace adds instant femininity to any outfit, and depending on the color, can really spice something up to be sexy as well.

I wanted to bring the black and white embellishment on these lace trimmed matador pants onto my nails with today's Lulus.com tutorial.

You can read more about the look and what I think of it at the Lulus.com blog here.

Budding Spring

Ah Spring! You're supposed to be here. There are supposed to be buds forming on the trees. But so far, it's just gotten a little colder since the official start of you. Maybe you're confused, and you need a little reminder of what you're supposed to be all about.

The bright greens of the baby buds, and the little petals forming at the tips of the leaves is what it's really all about. So take a lesson from China Glaze, with a Lemon Fizz and Electric Pineapple gradient for Budding Romance to blossom on.

It's ok Spring, we're not mad, we're just a little disappointed. You can do better next time!

Cartoon Katy

Are you reading this through a reader like the soon to be extinct Google Reader or Bloglovin'? Well if you are, you should switch over to Blogspot for just a second, and take notice of my blog's header. That lovely little cartoon hand is my blog's symbol. But what would a real hand look like cartoonized like Renee's Nails? And what would a polish bottle look like cartoonized? Here's your answer!

I used Renee's easy tutorial to get such clean black lines, and Sweet from Zoya as my pink. Don't worry, my hands haven't drastically aged, that's just eyeliner on my knuckles!

Ikat Tutorial for Lulus.com

Another installment of fashion meets fingers today with a super-simple Ikat tutorial, inspired by the sweet cheeks of these cutoffs from Lulus.com!

You can read more about this manicure and the inspiration behind it over at the Lulus.com blog!

Gold Romance

The colors in tonight's manicure just seem very romantic. I'm sad I didn't do a floral pattern with them, but really mesmerized by the gold.

I guess you could call this...Goldfinger.

Each nail, with the exception of the middle one, has hand-placed glitter from BornPrettyStore.com. The colors I used include My Vampire is Buff and Sparrow Me the Drama from OPI, Fade Into Hue from China Glaze, Blue My Mind from H&M, Goldie from Zoya, and two layers of Five Golden Rings from My Nail Graffiti.

It's so delicate, and getting in the spirit of the upcoming green and gold holiday! I'm excited to get that manicure together to share soon as well.

Tribal Tutorial for Lulus.com

Another installment of fetching fashion and tasty tutorials? Why yes of course, I'd be happy to!

My relationship with Lulus.com continues today with the second tutorial inspired by fashion from their site. This tribal look was inspired by this Billabong "Take Me There" Purse.

Though this look is a bit more complicated to achieve, I think it's awesome and bold! You can read more about the tutorial and its inspiration at the Lulus blog.

Lemon Concrete

This geometric design was done using Malibu Green (American Apparel), Lemon Fizz (China Glaze) and Concrete Grey (Kleancolor).

This quick post was brought to you by: Life, Always There.

I really wish I could be posting every night, but there's a lot going on behind the scenes that requires special attention and deadlines have to be met, so unfortunately, the routine post schedule will suffer. Trust me though, it's all exciting stuff I will share with you all soon.
