Inktober Day 23: Rip

Here's some ripped jeans and a tutorial to go with them for day 23 of Inktober 2020. This was fun and EASY to do, so go try it yourself!

The base color I used is Don Wannabe from a discontinued line called Sation.

Dainty Doily Tutorial

If you're looking for a tutorial that will challenge your fine brush nail art skills, this Dainty Doily design from my last post is right up your alley.

You only need two colors for this look. I chose a pink (Bela by Zoya) that was beautifully sheer, but you can switch that to an opaque pink if you prefer. Then use a white (like Snow White from Zoya) that is densely opaque, so you don't need to retrace your lines much.

You'll also need a fine point brush. I used this Fab Ur Nails double-sided brush for that attention to detail.

Kitchen Tiles Geometric Nail Art Tutorial

Inspiration can strike anytime from anything. The idea for this geometric nail art came straight from the kitchen - it's kitchen tiles!

This design is easy to duplicate, even if you're not adept with a striping brush. I find it easier sometimes to use a striping polish, like the Color Madric polishes shown here.

Misa Collection Review - Riding All the Rides at the County Fair

While summer's coming to a sad close, the colors of summer are still in full swing at nail salons around the world. So before you put away your brights, consider one more summer collection...for me.

You've already seen some crayon nail art using colors almost entirely from this collection. The collection is Misa's Riding All the Rides at the County Fair. This collection was perfect for crayon nails because it's a very bold, bright and basic collection (in the sense that its colors are mostly primary and secondary shades.)

The first swatch is the darkest in the rainbow, the blue Power Surge.
