Cácee Timeless Lacquer Swatches and Fancy Feathers

Tonight I'm swatching a bunch of colors from Cácee's Timeless Lacquer line. To be honest, I'm not really reviewing the Timeless Lacquer polishes, in that I'm not going to be able to tell you about the longevity and wearability of the colors. I simply haven't worn the colors in real life situations (e.g., outside of taking the pictures you're so longingly dying to see). However, I can tell you more about the line.

Timeless Lacquer is a 3-step hybrid system that walks the line of a gel and a polish. Gel polish requires soaking to take off, and light to cure on. Regular polish doesn't, but doesn't wear well for women who have lives that involve using their hands. So a hybrid polish like Timeless Lacquer delivers longer wearability without the commitment of gel. You may have to use more cotton to remove it, and you may have to scrub a little harder, but you don't need to soak it in foil and gel to take it off. Essentially, it's like the Infinite Shine for OPI or the VINYLUX for CND. But like I said, I didn't test that, so I can't speak to it either way.

I do however love the colors I was sent. They were all bright and happy, made me feel light and cheery. So I channeled that into my nail art, creating a beautiful and happy little feather alongside my favorite of the colors I was sent, I Fancy That.

The feather was drawn freehand, and I added various colors and patterns to each section to give it some interest and dimension. Colors I used besides I Fancy That include Wearin' Less, Goin' Out MorePastel, My BelleBaby Side by Side; and Such a Doll.

Moving onto the swatches of these colors and others.

Cácee - Baby Side by Side
Cácee - Baby Side by Side
Baby Side by Side (2 coats) is a light lilac creme. It applies smoothly, but the size of the brushes might throw some off. It's a wide brush with curved edges, similar to Sally Hansen's.

Cácee - Carousel
Cácee - Carousel
Carousel (2 coats) is another creme. I've never really swatched a blue this color, in all my years of swatching. It's a smooth, dusty, medium denim creme. This is a blue that someone who is interested in trying out blue could go with as a gateway color.

Cácee - I Fancy That
Cácee - I Fancy That
I Fancy That (2 coats) is a neon magenta and I'm in love! It's so bright and fabulous, but it's not patchy or striped. This is a favorite neon, hands down.

Cácee - It's Just a Little Blush
Cácee - It's Just a Little Blush

It's Just a Little Blush (2 coats) is not a blush color. It's lighter, more pastel than what I would typically call a blush. When I think "blush", I think almost nude, nearing red. This is still a beautiful color, and this pastel dusty pink has a light sparkle embedded.

Cácee - Let's Make Lav-ender the Stars
Cácee - Let's Make Lav-ender the Stars
Ok, Cácee really keeps surprising me with their colors. Let's Make Lav-ender the Stars (2 coats) didn't excite me in the bottle, but when I finished the 2nd coat, the dark greyish purple creme with silver shimmer was striking!

Cácee - Pastel, My Belle
Cácee - Pastel, My Belle
Pastel, My Belle (2 coats) was a little bubbly for me. Although the light turquoise creme is beautiful, its texture was tough. Pastels like this can lean that way.

Cácee - Prism Me That
Cácee - Prism Me That
Prism Me That (3 coats) is a really dense holographic glitter in many different sizes. Note that I did use 3 coats to get this kind of coverage, but this was straight polishing, not the dabbing technique that gets glitter on faster and more efficiently.

Cácee - Sheer Off Course
Cácee - Sheer Off Course
Sheer Off Course (3 coats) is a nude and iridescent sheer polish. Personally, this is not my favorite. The fleshy color isn't that flattering in and out of the bottle. The iridescence is a nice balance, but it doesn't outdo the yellowy, fleshy sheer base for me.

Cácee - Such a Doll
Cácee - Such a Doll
Such a Doll (2 coats) is a dark, apricot creme shade. It really brought out the yellow undertones in my skin, like it or not.

Cácee - Wearin' Less, Goin' Out More
Cácee - Wearin' Less, Goin' Out More
Wearin' Less, Goin' Out More (3 coats) is a glitter I hope everyone already has in their collection. A rosy gold glitter with big chunks of holo glitter? Yes please!

Although Cácee isn't the same kind of household name that OPI or Zoya might be, their color collection is phenomenal! Just in the Timeless Lacquer line (one of four of their lines), there are over 180 colors! You won't get bored with this line, and you won't break your bank. Colors from Timeless Lacquer are available in a variety of places around the world, but the average price is about $7. SOLD!
